Tetanus (Lockjaw) is caused by bacteria and spores commonly found in soil. These can enter the body through wounds, leading to severe muscle spasms, breathing complications, and potentially death.
Pertussis (Whooping Cough) is a contagious bacterial disease characterized by severe coughing fits followed by a high-pitched "whoop" sound and vomiting. Adolescents and adults with untreated pertussis are the primary source of infection for young infants who are either unimmunized or only partially immunized.
Delivery:
In-person vaccination (Family Physician office, Seneca Health Centre, Walk-in clinic)
Instruction:
You will need TDaP vaccine every 10 years.
HCP would provide vaccine receipt if you received a dose.
HCP will write the TDaP vaccination date of last dose in your CPP form.

Document/s required for clearance review: CPP Form page 3, Immunization Card or Vaccine Receipt
Renewal time: every 10 years, book your next dose at least 30 to 60 days prior to due date or prior to clearance deadline whichever comes first.
