International students must hold a valid Canadian work permit to participate in practicum placements. To begin the process, students should contact the International Student Department for detailed guidance on requirements.
A supporting letter for the work permit application can be requested from the Clinical Placement Office. As processing times for the work permit may take 3–4 months, students are strongly advised to initiate the application process well in advance.

Average time of completion: less than hour to complete the application but the processing time varies
Validity period: depends on your Study Permit or passport expiry date
